Have your say on the policy that will guide the temporary use and activation of footpaths and public spaces.

The consultation outcomes were presented to Council on 10 March 2020. Council adopted the Temporary Use of Public Space Policy as presented in Attachment B to Item 12.1 on the Agenda for the meeting of the Council held on 10 March 2020 and, as a result, has rescinded the Objects on Footpaths Policy (2006) and the Street Permits Policy (2013).
We are seeking feedback on the draft Temporary Use of Public Space Policy which has been developed to guide our customers on the temporary use and activation of public space for community and commercial purposes.
The Temporary Use of Public Space Policy will replace both the Objects on Public Footpaths Policy (2006) and the Street Permits Policy (2013). It is based upon eight guiding principles: Public Good, Economic Growth, Creativity, Accessibility, Communication & Engagement, Character & Identity, Sustainable & Responsible, and Safe.
