The City of Adelaide is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) for the use of the existing licensed sporting facilities in Pardipardinyilla (Park 2) in the northern Adelaide Park Lands.

The area which is the subject of this EOI is highlighted opposite on the map in green. These facilities are currently used by Blackfriars Priory School and its sub-lessees.

This EOI process has been triggered by the expiry of Blackfriar’s lease and licence and a review of sporting facilities in Pardipardinyilla (Park 2). This review could have long term implications for the Park and so it is considered appropriate to firstly consider the future of the park and its sporting areas more broadly.

This EOI process is being conducted in accordance with the City of Adelaide’s Park Lands Leasing and Licensing Policy Operating Guidelines.(External link) The Adelaide Park Lands Management Strategy(External link) provides for the strengthening of the role of the Park Lands as a regional destination for competitive sport and a variety of active and passive forms of recreation.

Blackfriar’s lease and licence for these facilities (which have expired) have been temporarily extended while the EOI process occurs.
