Project Information
We have received an application to stage the ‘Skating at Victoria Square’ in Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga again in June/July 2019.
We would like your feedback to gauge support for the festival, and whether there are any measures that could be put in place to facilitate a successful event with minimal impacts on the environment.
Background
The City of Adelaide hosts a wide range of events every year. In addition to staging our own events we invite event organisers (including interstate and international) to consider holding their events in the City, particularly those that bring activation to the City during the winter (off-peak) season.
In 2018 Council approved the staging of Skating at Victoria Square’ (a winter ice-skating festival) during June/July 2018 in Victoria /Tarntanyangga. The festival was a success and the event organisers would like to stage it again during June/ July 2019.
