Call for Expressions of Interest

Rymill Park Kiosk:

The City of Adelaide is seeking expressions of interests for a commercial leasing opportunity for the Rymill Park Kiosk located in the eastern Park Lands - Rymill Park / Murlawirrapurka (Park 14).

This operation will provide a food and beverage service to cater for the community who frequent this park. The offer includes the kiosk and operating of row boats on the adjacent lake.

All proposed uses will be subject to standard consent processes and must be consistent with the Adelaide Park Lands Management Strategy and the relevant Community Land Management Plan. Copies of these documents can be obtained from the City of Adelaide website.

Expressions of Interest period: 18 March 2019 to 5.00pm, Thursday 18 April 2019.

Community Sports Infrastructure in Pelzer Park / Pityarilla (Park 19) and Peppermint Park / Wita Wirra (Park 18)

The City of Adelaide is seeking expressions of interest (EOIs) to lease existing sporting facilities (grounds and building) located in Pelzer Park / Pityarilla (Park 19) & Peppermint Park / Wita Wirra (Park 18) in the Adelaide Park Lands.

The zones subject of this EOI (see map opposite and information pack below) have been divided into three leasing opportunities.

Organisations can request consideration for a lease of one, two or all three zones and should indicate their preferred zone(s).

Expressions of Interest period: 1 April 2019 to 5.00pm, Friday 26 April 2019.

Background

The City of Adelaide is the custodian of the majority of the Adelaide Park Lands and to activate these areas looks to partner with commercial operators with hospitality and event management experience to activate the Park Lands and deliver Council’s strategic plan to:
“promote increasing the number of people visiting the Park Lands and city for leisure or entertainment by providing support to organisations that attract visitors to the City”.

This EOI(s) has been triggered by the expiration of the current leasing/licence arrangements and it is a requirement of the Adelaide Park Lands Leasing and Licencing Policy that an EOI process be undertaken before the consideration of any new tenure (lease or licence) and/or building project in the Park Lands that effects the long-term use of the Park.
